And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. But if the wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die. | However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die. |

Then you will discern righteousness, justice, And integrity, and every good path. | Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path. |
Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. | Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. |

Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of mankind among them are fully given to do evil. | Because the sentence for committing an evil act is not carried out quickly, people’s hearts are prone to act wickedly. |
You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am. | You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. |

A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! | A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season. |
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil. | Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil. |
