With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. | An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. |

The father of the righteous has great joy. Whoever fathers a wise child delights in him. | The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. |
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. | But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. |
