Indeed, it is seldom that anyone will die for a just person, although perhaps for a good person someone might be willing to die. Thus, God proved his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:7-8	Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. However, the gift is not like the transgression. For if the transgression of one man led to the death of the many, how much greater was the overflowing effect of the grace of God and the gift of the one man Jesus Christ that has abounded for the many. Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? Romans 6:1-2	What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it? sin grace life
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Romans 6:3	Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Jesus baptism
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! Romans 6:15	What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! sin grace law
However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life. What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” Romans 7:7	What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires
Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2	There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Those who live according to the flesh fix their attention on the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the Spirit set their thoughts on spiritual things. Romans 8:5	For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. life body Spirit
The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace. Romans 8:6	To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Spirit peace life
Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God. Romans 8:8	And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. sin dependence desires
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:14	For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. obedience Spirit children
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15	For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba! Father!” fear Spirit children
The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:16	It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God. God Spirit children
I consider that the sufferings we presently endure are not worth comparing with the glory to be revealed in us. Romans 8:18	I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us. eternal life salvation suffering
Indeed, creation itself eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God. Romans 8:19	For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God. creation Father children
