| For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. | For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. |

| Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! | Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits. |
| Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! | Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! |
| If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. | Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus. |
