The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.

Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.Guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
