Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long. | Guide me in your truth and instruct me, for you are God, my Savior, and in you I hope all the day long. |
|
Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you. | Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. |
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. | Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your gracious Spirit lead me along a level path. |
Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh. | The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. |
But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. | But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me. |
For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. | You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me. |
My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. | My life is in your hands; deliver me from the power of my enemies, from the clutches of those who pursue me. |
Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom. | In my distress I called out to the Lord; he answered by setting me free. |
Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. | O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. |
Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? | With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid. What can mortals do to me? |
Yahweh is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. | The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me to tranquil streams. |
And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.” | And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.” |
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. | For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. |
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. | Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, so that you will be able to discern the will of God and to know what is good and acceptable and perfect. |
Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin. | Have mercy on me, O God, in accord with your kindness; in your abundant compassion wipe away my offenses. Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. |
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. | I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing. |
Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior. | I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. You know no God but me, nor any savior other than me. |
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me. | And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me. |
Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident. | Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken. |
I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask. I am found by those who didn’t seek me. I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name. | I was eager to respond to those who did not consult me. I was anxious to be approached by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am! Here I am!” to a nation that did not summon me. |
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. | I can do all things in him who strengthens me. |
