This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” Jeremiah 6:16	Yahweh says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval. John 6:27	Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him. eternal life Jesus food

Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me. Exodus 20:23	You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me. law idols money
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1	Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake. love humility worship
If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time. We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. Proverbs 10:7	The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot. sin righteousness blessing
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart. Psalm 40:8	I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart. obedience law heart
And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! Luke 6:33	If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. righteousness reward
Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others. 1 Corinthians 10:24	Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good. selfishness love neighbor
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8	Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. awe blessing evil
O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever. Jeremiah 3:12b	‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’ mercy anger forgiveness
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Psalm 86:5	For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. reliability love forgiveness
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8	Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. desires persecution overcoming
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57	But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus gratitude overcoming
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. Deuteronomy 10:12-13	Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good? law awe blessing
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8	I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. encouragement understanding learning
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:14	For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. sin grace law
The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. Psalm 138:8	Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. reliability God safety
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8	Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded. sin purification righteousness
Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life. Ecclesiastes 7:14	In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him. joy life dependence
In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. Isaiah 26:9	With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. righteousness judgment learning
Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy. Exodus 20:8-11	Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy. sabbath
