Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know… Hosea 14:9

Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them. Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11	Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. righteousness peace children

When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes? Ecclesiastes 5:11	When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes? materialism money desires
But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:22	But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. sin trust faith
But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. money greed materialism
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them. Romans 16:17	Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. holiness community evil
O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him. Psalm 34:8	Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! God blessing rest
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly. Ephesians 5:11-12	And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. sin speaking idols
So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them. Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him. 1 John 3:21-22	Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
