The more you have, the more people come to help you spend… Ecclesiastes 5:11

The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! Ecclesiastes 5:11	When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? materialism money desires
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 1 John 2:24	Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. Romans 8:25	But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. trust hope patience
But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22	But test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. understanding evil prophecy
But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13:11	And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. speaking Spirit worrying
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9	But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” love reward
But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:3-4	But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. giving reward Father
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Romans 8:27	And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Spirit mediator
Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? 1 Peter 3:13	Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? goodness evil work
But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. James 1:25	But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. law blessing listening
Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Matthew 9:13	Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. mercy righteousness sacrifice
Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! Luke 12:3	Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. sin speaking listening
Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. light truth obedience
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. 2 John 1:8	Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. reward self-control work
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Romans 6:1-2	What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? sin grace life
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. John 13:13	You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. Jesus
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2	Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. blameless obedience life
He will judge everyone according to what they have done. Romans 2:6	He will render to each one according to his works. righteousness reward
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 1 John 3:1	See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. love Father children
What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’ Isaiah 45:9	Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’? creation humility understanding
Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel: “Come back to me and live!” Amos 5:4	For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live.” seeking life
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36	For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. patience obedience receiving
Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority. Romans 13:7	Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. honesty money awe
Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest. Proverbs 19:22	What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar. reliability money goodness

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Bible verse of the day

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
