Whatsoever (2/4)

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted. The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.
Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.“Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?
For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.
For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
“Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,” ’ ” declares the Lord God.Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again?
And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?
If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.
As for you, see that what you heard from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.
For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me so that you may live.”Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel: “Come back to me and live!”
But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.
What is man that You think of him, And a son of man that You are concerned about him? What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!
I am coming quickly; hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown.
For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And He has filled the hungry soul with what is good. For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.
So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.
