| Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. | Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. |
| Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord. | House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord. |
| Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. | Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. |

| So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.” | And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. |
| For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God. | For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God. |
