In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, Lord, have me dwell in safety. | I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. |

When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them? | When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? |
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. | Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. |
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” | And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. |
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue. | I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. |
But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? | Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? |
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. | Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. |
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. | For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. |
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. | Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. |
Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings. | Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death. | Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. |
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. | Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. |
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age. | For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. |
Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. | Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. |
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus. | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. |
You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. If you oppress him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will assuredly hear his cry; and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless. | Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. |

For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. | And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. |
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater. | We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. |
I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me; I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’ To a nation which did not call on My name. | I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. |
