Sin (3/6)

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.
For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil.
But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death. He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is careless of his ways will die.
So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long.
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous.

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
