Sin (3/6)

I treasure your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you.Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances. We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments.
Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment. And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil.Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.
I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, but destruction for evildoers. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. SelahI acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Those who keep the commandment will live; those who are heedless of their ways will die.He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin).Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.
No longer present your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
You want something and do not have it; so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask.Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
While I kept silence, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
As far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
