Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one. If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.Next verse! With image
