Colossians - ESV & NIV

«Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working… Colossians 3:23-24»
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
