Bible Verses about Contentment

I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.I know how to live with little, and I know how to live with plenty. In any and all circumstances, I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these.
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.Godliness produces great gain, but only to those who are content.
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.
Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest. It is better to have little and be righteous than to acquire great riches with injustice.
Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!Live in harmony with one another. Do not consider yourself to be better than others, but associate with the lowly, and never be conceited.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, it will be enough for us.”
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said: “Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
