But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.
