Evangelism (2/2)

For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”“Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again. “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”And every day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming Jesus as the Christ.
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. For we are God’s coworkers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.”Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”
Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father.
Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great: He was made visible in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed to the Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.All this has been done by God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation.

Bible verse of the day

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
