Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.

This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
