Bible Verses about the Mind

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”And He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper. One who gets wisdom loves his own soul; One who keeps understanding will find good.
The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.A prudent person sees evil and hides himself; But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding.Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding.
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible.
And I know it is important to love him with all my heart and all my understanding and all my strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.
