| I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Repent and live! | For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live. |
| I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances. | And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. |

| I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. | So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. |
| Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall. | Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. |
| However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die. | But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. |
| Do I derive any pleasure from the death of the wicked? asks the Lord God. Would I not rather rejoice to see them turn away from their wickedness and live? | Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? |
| I will make them and the region surrounding my hill a blessing, and I will send them rain in due season that will be showers of blessing. | And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. |
| I intend to prove the holiness of my great name which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. Thus, the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I will display my holiness in their sight. | And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. |
