| I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Repent and live! | “For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live!” |
| I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances. | And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances. |
| I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place. | Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. |
| I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God. | I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and follow them. Sanctify My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God. |
| I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. | So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord. |
| Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall. | Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. |
| However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die. | But if the wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die. |
| Do I derive any pleasure from the death of the wicked? asks the Lord God. Would I not rather rejoice to see them turn away from their wickedness and live? | “Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?” |
| I will make them and the region surrounding my hill a blessing, and I will send them rain in due season that will be showers of blessing. | I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will make showers fall in their season; they will be showers of blessing. |
| I intend to prove the holiness of my great name which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. Thus, the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I will display my holiness in their sight. | “And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,” declares the Lord God, “when I show Myself holy among you in their sight.” |
