| For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live. | For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! |
| I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. | And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. |

| Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin. | Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. |
| But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die. | But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. |
| Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live? | Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? |
| I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. | I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. |
| I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes. | I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes. |
