| But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God. | Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. |
| But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |

| In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. | And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. |
