The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
