You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. | But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. |
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. | Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. |
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. | The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. |
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. | And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. |
May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord. | Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. |
For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? | For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God? |
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! | O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! |
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. |
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. | This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. |
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. | As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. |
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. | Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. |
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. | The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. |
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. |
And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. | And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. | And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. |
You, Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation. | Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. |
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? | God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? |
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. | So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. |
“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. | Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. |
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. | Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. |
