What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?
Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
He builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth; he calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land— the Lord is his name.It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
