You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2	You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. sin desires prayer
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4	You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. sin God friendship

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:10	Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. God humility reward
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor? James 4:12	God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? law judgment salvation
