By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. | Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. | This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. |
You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. | Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. |

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus. | Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. | I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. |
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ.
