| I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. | Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. |
| But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away. | But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. | We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress. | Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. |

| Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh. | And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. |
| I made a covenant with my eyes; how then should I look lustfully at a young woman? | I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? |
| Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |
| Yahweh restored Job’s prosperity when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before. | And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. |
