Law (3/5)

You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord. Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.
The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever.Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death. He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people.”And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
