| I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. | He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? |

| For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. | You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. |
| Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. | God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? | Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another? |
| The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. | The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. |
| I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches. | I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, as much as in all riches. |
| And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. | I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them. |
| Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. | Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. |
