| These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. | These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. |
| What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! | What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! |

| “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. | “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up. |
| For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. | For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it. |
| The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. | The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. |
| Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. | This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. |
| But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. |
| Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. | Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. |
| If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. | It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. |
| Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. | Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. |
| For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |
| So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. | Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. |

| Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? | Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? |
| And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? | Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good? |
| Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. | You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. |
| Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. | Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. |
| He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. | He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? |
| My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. | This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. |
| I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. | With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. |
| All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. | For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. |
| But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! | But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream. |
| But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. | Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
| Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. | Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. |
| I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws. | I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me. |
