You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time. You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.

Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.
