| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |

| So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. | Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
| Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. |
| Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. | Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. |
| Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. | Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
