For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?

Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.

The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.
