Bible Verses about Money

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles, But one who gathers by labor increases it.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; Stop dwelling on it.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce.
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me.Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion.
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord sustains the righteous.
For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. For the Lord your God will have blessed you just as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.A good name is to be more desired than great wealth; Favor is better than silver and gold.
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death.
The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
