| And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. | And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. |

| House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord. | House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord. |
| And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. | Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” |
| Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. | But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband. |
