Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. | Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established. |
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? | For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? |

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. | ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ |
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. | The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. |
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. | May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill your whole plan! |
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. | Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed. |
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. | Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand. |
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. | Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. |
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. | There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven. |
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. | “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. |
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. | Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; Stop dwelling on it. |
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. | So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. |

This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working. | This also comes from the Lord of armies, Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great. |
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. | For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. |
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. | Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright. |
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. | Certainly the Lord God does nothing Unless He reveals His secret plan To His servants the prophets. |
