| For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? | For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? |

| For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. | ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ |

| To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. | There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven. |
| For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. | “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. |
| Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. | Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; Stop dwelling on it. |

| Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. | Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright. |
| Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. | Certainly the Lord God does nothing Unless He reveals His secret plan To His servants the prophets. |
