For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render. Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous. I rejoice in the Lord with all my heart; my soul exults in my God. Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them the path to follow. But the one who did not know those wishes, and who acted in such a manner as to deserve a beating, will be beaten less severely.
