| The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up. | The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts. |
| Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. | Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. |
| Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. | Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. |
| But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. |
