For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light… Ephesians 5:8

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:6	Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time. humility reward
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 1 John 5:14	And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. trust prayer listening

We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him. Acts 5:32	And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. obedience Spirit receiving
For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5	For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ. suffering comforter Jesus
Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you. Father learning punishment
May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5	May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. love transformation following
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1	Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. faith righteousness peace
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. 1 John 5:15	And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. trust prayer listening

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5	If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. wisdom receiving generosity
Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed. Amos 5:14	Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said. holiness reward seeking
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. Daniel 9:5	We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances. sin confession law
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:15	See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. blameless righteousness evil
Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Ephesians 5:3	But fornication and impurity of any kind, or greed, must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints. sin greed holiness
