Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.Those who accepted his message were baptized, and on that day about three thousand people were added to their number.
He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’This is ‘the stone rejected by you, the builders, that has become the cornerstone.’
We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.
Can anyone forbid these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.
All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.All of these were constantly engaged in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles so that you may bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.When they had finished their prayer, the place where they were gathered together shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the word of God fearlessly.
Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”Peter answered, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you now see and hear.Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”
Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem, but throughout Judea and Samaria, and indeed to the farthest ends of the earth.
So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.
The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.The entire community of believers was united in heart and soul. No one claimed any of his possessions as his own, for everything was held in common.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago.
