- He has shown you, O man, what is good.
What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly,
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh,
but those who do the truth are his delight. - Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. - God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should repent.
Has he said, and he won’t do it?
Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good? - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow.
