When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.”
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread?
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.

But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.”
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.Are five sparrows not sold for two assaria? And yet not one of them has gone unnoticed in the sight of God. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.
You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.And if you say in your heart, ‘How will we recognize the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ When the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the thing does not happen or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you are not to be afraid of him.
For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.For the customs of the peoples are futile; For it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not totter. They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good.
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’

Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident.
