| I will give thanks to you among the peoples, O Lord; I will sing your praises among the nations. | I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. |
| This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant. | But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. |

| Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. | But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples. | O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. |

| The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but worldly cares and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. | He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. |

| Jesus traveled all throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every type of disease and illness among the people. | And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. |
| Let no one delude himself. If anyone among you considers himself to be wise by worldly standards, he must become a fool in order to be truly wise. | Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. |

Be perfectly united in mind and purpose. | Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. |
| In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents. | Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. |
| For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified. | For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. |
| You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy. I have chosen you from among all people that you shall be mine. | And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. |
| Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. | Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. |
| If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him. | If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. |
| For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst. | For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. |
| There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved. | Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. |
