Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. | It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling. |
For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps. | For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps. |
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight. | Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. |

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. | Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving. |
