Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.”“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols.Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
Of all that live in water you may eat these: whatever has fins and scales you may eat. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.Of all the creatures living in the water, you may eat any that has fins and scales. But anything that does not have fins and scales you may not eat; for you it is unclean.
Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.
Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Surely the Lord God does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Those who eat must not despise those who abstain, and those who abstain must not pass judgment on those who eat; for God has welcomed them. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
