Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. | Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. |
For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield. | For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. |
For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. | For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! |
But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. | As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. |
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. | No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. |
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us. | May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us. |

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. | Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. |
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. | So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. |
